Despite the growing number of new social networking tools, social media’s secret weapon is still e-mail, according to Jesse Engle of ExactTarget and a speaker at Monday’s Realtime NY 11, who maintains that e-mail has actually increased our use of social media.
Companies should consider their e-mail marketing campaigns as a complement to their social media efforts and each channel should be treated individually based on that audience’s needs. Where e-mail evokes trust, relevancy and familiarity, Facebook is about connections, self-expression and entertainment.
This all-inclusive approach can help your company leverage your initial fan base — consumers who have opted into your e-mail promotions — and build on their already existing networks within Facebook and Twitter.
To make the most of your online marketing efforts, Engle suggests the following:
- Turn your e-mail subscribers into fans and followers. Take advantage of your e-mails by promoting your Facebook, Twitter account and other social media accounts.
- Use available social data to drive content and reach your passionate fans. Integrating social media data technology can help put your social media efforts in the same measured context as e-mail and other more traditional marketing tools. With this data, you can begin to identify the most loyal customers and respond appropriately.
- Arm your community managers with information. Train your company representatives and help them become brand ambassadors who can fully participate in real-time conversations.
Is your company doing its best to create a cohesive online marketing plan?

Distributing newsletters in a community or in an organization is among the reasons why emails and email marketing are still regarded significant and effective despite the emergence and popularity of social networking sites. Integrating social media accounts for promotion using email marketing is a good advice.
Moreover, most marketers, if not all, use email marketing to bring in money. Emails are a great way to elicit campaigns and relay messages within a trusted community and with peers. And yes, people still keep email accounts aside from their social networking accounts. Email will always be in the long haul even if popular social media sites stumble and decline in popularity.

Why does it have to be either email or social? My company's software, Arkli Social Campaign Manager, thinks about things differently. We allow companies to integrate email, videos, blogs and social media into a single integrated campaign.
I don't know why we obsess about differentiating based on channel – the customer doesn't care where they receive the message, and the company doesn't care how they received it either. All the company wants is to distribute their message across channels that the customer is using, and the customer wants relevant, timely information sent to them about products and services that they're interested in.

It's hard to answer the rest w/out knowing more. Some are only paid commission when they perform, others are salaried or even punch the clock to be paid by the hr. Some pros would be your client seeing a big jump in sales due to your creative ideas. A con would be that client leaving you because of doing a lousy job, like having him/her spend $ to advertise to the wrong area that may be way to far to go for a wax and pedicure. Or placing that same ad in the sports section of the local newspaper. Lots of different people and responsibilities make up a marketing team.
any forums allow you to include links back to your own site. Instead of “here is my blog / home page”, put “get tips and news right to your inbox by signing up to my newsletter”. Think about it, the people taking part in the Walrus Polishing forum will be interested in more info on that topic,
I think that spam email means it's mistakes of sender just typing email address , for example letter if simple address change then letter will post to another person so we are ……….delete it.
