SmartPulse — our weekly reader poll in Smartbrief on Workforce — tracks feedback from leading managers and HR practitioners. We run the poll question each Wednesday in our e-newsletter.
Last week, we asked: Are you active on Twitter?
- No, and I don’t have an account, 66%
- No, but I have an account, 21%
- Yes, for work and myself, 6%
- Yes, but just for myself, 4%
- Yes, but just for work, 3%
I am shocked that HR people aren’t more active on Twitter! I kid of course. I am surprised that 13% are active and 21% have an account though. I believe that if my conversations are any indication, this is some progress in adoption of widely used social media tools.

Such a shame. There's nothing like it for creating a learning community and/or a learning organization. It's built. They will come.
