SmartPulse — our weekly reader poll in Smartbrief on Workforce — tracks feedback from leading managers and HR practitioners. We run the poll question each Wednesday in our e-newsletter.
Last week, we asked: Do you plan on getting more involved in social media this year?
- No, I am not going to get more involved,-51%
- Yes, for myself only, 22%
- Yes, for both myself and my company, 19%
- Yes, for my company only, 9%
Compared to the results of last week’s SmartPulse poll about involvement in social media, it’s encouraging to see that nearly 50% are going to try to do more with social media this year. People seem to be sniffing out the opportunity to connect with customers, employees and future talent. Although it won’t pan out for every organization, it’s worth exploring the possibilities.
