Well I'm sure there are extrovert out there that still thinks there's something is "wrong" with introvert. Not to say all extrovert think this way though. But as for me, I rather work from home - thank God there's such job in this era - though the salary might not be as much as those 'professional' and more public jobs... I want to enjoy my life my own way, once I finish college of course.

And yeah, as far as being 'assertive' I guess it only goes as far as to step up and say "Hi, I am [insert a name here], and contrary to popular and common belief, I'm not shy nor timid but I'm just introverted. Talking with people for a period of time drains my energy so I don't talk to stranger unless I have very good reason to do so, and I don't like noisy places."

It's an irony, how 'slow' an introvert might seem on the outside but at the same time some extrovert are nowhere near slow in trying to understand us. Rather, sometimes they DON'T understand us at all.

But the time will come, I'm sure. People just need to re-educate themselves on this.

These looks like some great ideas that introverts can start implementing today. Thanks so much Jennifer. I will be sure to check out your book The Introverted Leader when I get a chance.

I found something that worked best for me was to practice talking to people even when you don't want to. Eventually you start to enjoy talking to people much more and you become an introvert who can be an extrovert by choice and out of desire.

I am not really into politics. I think politics is boring and just a total lie. It's a tool for a certain group to achieve what they want. Sometimes it is not bring benefits for people. Kansas adult halloween costume ideas

Great guidelines and encouraging words for the introvert. Being an introvert myself, I can see where different methods need to be employed in order to achieve the same results as the extrovert. But, it is possible to succeed, in spite of the common stereotype given to the introvert. We definitely have our strong points. We just need to know how to recognize them and learn how to use them. Social skills will become more natural if you are persistent at practicing them. I also found some other helpful tips at: http://relationshipcapital.co/op/?utm_src=bl

I have found becoming a good story teller was very beneficial with participating at work and being an introvert. While I find I often don't have much to say a story is perfect to get it all out there in one go and still be social and make connections.
